Pros and cons of FlightStats app for iPhone and iPad
FlightStats app good for
Very useful when waiting someone coming on another flight. Is offering information on flight delays even before the airport communicates. Tracking itself can still be clarified in order to state whether plan actually landed or not yet. But is overall a very useful app for frequent flyers.
I dont think I can say one bad thing about this app. It has exactly what I was looking for. A live satellite tracking system. And full specs of aircrafts current status as well as weather.
I use this all the time! Its more accurate than several airlines! Often times I am showing airline personnel 5 to 10 minutes before they receive updates.
Wonderful way to know first hand that my love ones have arrived safe and sound to their destination and back home. Thank you for your hard work and long hours you all invested in putting together this App. Its a great gift to all of us.
I always use Flighstats to follow the flights of my family when they are traveling.
I use this app for a variety of reasons. Great for arrivals and departures of scheduled flights but also great to see when others are leaving when ours gets canceled! Very useful and reliable
Some bad moments
Dont expect to be able to track a flight on a different time zone. You HAVE to wait till your time zone matches the tracked flight. Example: flight departs from Paris at 1 pm (Paris time) but its noon in Reykjavik; you MUST wait 1 pm in Reykjavik before you can track it. This major bug totally kills this otherwise good app.
The 3D Touch is already in the app.
That is a good thing, but different Languages would make the App become more Famous and interesting!
Also an Messaging/ Reminding of different status would be great to add to the App.
That is the first response I can give to the creator of the app. If this will be fixed, I will write another rating of the app.
I downloaded the app to check it out, was pleased with the information provided, especially the ability to see all arrival and departure information for a given airport, including smaller airports, which FlightTrack does not provide anymore. So I decided to pay the $2.79 to remove ads and was advised this option is no longer offered. That is a deal-breaker for me and I have deleted the app. Very disappointing.
The flight I was tracking today was supposed to be an hour and a half late. As it turned out it was forty five minutes early!
It used to be ok. Now it is waist of time, it fails to indicate the departure time correctly.
Im holding my ticket in hand and the app tells me it cant find any information.
